Background
Bette’s experience enables her to find untapped savings for ARES clients increasing the value of their lease portfolios. As a seasoned real estate professional, she has personally worked in many of the major retail markets.
Much of Bette’s career has been in corporate real estate, including 21 years at Jack in the Box Restaurants as the Division Vice President of Real Estate Assets. She was responsible for managing all aspects of the corporate portfolio for 2,200 Jack in the Box and 600 Qdoba locations. In addition to overseeing lease renegotiations and restructuring, Bette secured office and distribution center locations. Bette was also responsible for raising over $1.0 billion in capital for new restaurant growth through sale/leasebacks. Prior to Jack in the Box, Bette was the Vice President of the Properties Department at Great American Bank where she secured new branch sites and office space in four states and managed over 400 locations.
Bette is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a graduate of the State University of New York at Brockport with a Bachelor of Science degree.
